Open Garden Visit

Sculptor Susan's Weimaraners

Last year we visited a lovely garden in Muswell Hill, owned by Susan Bennett and Earl Hyde, dedicated gardeners and openers of their garden to the public in aid of charity.

This year we are planning a visit on June 12th and you can get a sneak preview:   the garden will be featured in the MAY issue of House Beautiful . ...out in April.  When we visit, we will each be given a copy of the London Gardens Guide and a bookmark listing the NGS charities - plus tea and Earl's amazing cake(s).

Again last year Susan and Earl raised more than any other London Garden for National Garden Scheme Charities - £4,255    ....to which our visit contributed.

That enabled the NGS to donate  :  -

     £450,000  to Macmillan Cancer Support

£450,000 to  Marie Curie Cancer Care

     £400,000 to Help the Hospices

     £300,000 to  Carer's Trust

£200,000 to QNI  Queens Nursing Institute

     £100,000   to Perennial

£100,000 to Parkinson's as well as other donations  of

     £ 128,000 . . .

 a Total of £2,26,000
